Make Your Trade Show Booth Popular

Make Your Trade Show Booth Popular
By Stephanie Hetu

So, you are taking your products and heading to a trade show, but this year you want to make your trade show booth popular in order to garner more business and have no idea how to do it. Actually, it really is quite simple to make a popular trade show booth as long as you put forth the effort.

One idea to attract people to your trade show is to offer a raffle. By doing this people will come to sign up for the raffle, especially if it is a product worthwhile. The better the raffle item the more likely people will visit your booth simply to register. However, when they are at your trade show booth you have the opportunity to show them your products and provide them with additional information.

Also, offering models is a popular trade show booth trick used all over the world. Beautiful women stand around your booth in clothing that is brand oriented and pass at products for your company. This will certainly attract a lot of men’s attention, however if the trade show is mostly women you might want to use male models. If your industry won’t support this type of activity, then do not do it. Only use models if you think it will make your trade show booth more popular.

Another good idea to make your trade show booth popular is to offer a show. This could be live music, dancing, or anything that will draw people’s attention. Everyone loves entertainment and if your trade show booth has entertainment it will attract people.

There has also been more than one trade show booth that offered massage therapists to provide neck and back massages to individuals visiting. Almost everyone loves a massage and would do almost anything to get one, so if you are offering them in your trade show booth and you can pretty much guarantee you will increase your traffic.

Whatever you do make sure you do something to bring people to your trade show booth. If not, then there will be nothing to catch the people’s attention.

Sketching Celebrity Caricatures

Sketching Celebrity Caricatures
In order to create a caricature of famous people, a caricature artist must look at the shapes of the facial features. Some artist draw the sketch in photo shop, this process can speed up things if you want to create a digital caricature.
Try drawing someone that everyone would know such as a caricature of the president.
Here I've drawn a caricature of the Beatles, they have great faces to draw.
A caricature drawing of people that are well known is best to start out with. Sometimes a political caricature can be controversial.
If someone is a staunch Democrat they may get upset with a George Bush caricature.
If someone is a Republican, they may get upset at a Hillary Clinton caricature.
Most books on How to draw caricatures, tell you to draw grandma, but that can be boring. A caricature artist should subscribe to magazines like Entertainment Weekly, and choose carefully who they should draw. Drawing a Angelina Jolie caricature, is much tougher than drawing a Bush caricature. The reason for this is most women celebs, change their hairstyles so often. A Oprah caricature of 5 years ago would not look like the Oprah caricatures of today. Some celebs are timely such as a Elvis caricature, or Marilyn caricature. Another thing is to always be aware of today's celebrities may not even be known a year from now. When drawing a cartoon caricature try to find the best picture that represents that person.

Ideas for party entertainment and party tips on hiring a party entertainer for adult and kids birthday parties.

Ideas for party entertainment and party tips on hiring a party entertainer for adult and kids birthday parties. Birthday parties are real big these days, but it is still quite difficult to find the right birthday party entertainer, or the special theme parties. With the right information you can be your own party planner. I will give you some birthday party ideas, kids party ideas and event entertainers. This will help you come up with a great party idea. Some people find their kids parties entertainment through party rentals companies, dj services,
party planners, event planning services, and entertainment agencies. Party planning is done by wedding dj companies. Wedding djs provide wedding music as well as entertainers, but look to pay a little more. A wedding disc jockey is a middleman so they will add a fee, making the party entertainments cost much higher. Wedding disc jockeys usually specialize in weddings only.A cool idea is jukebox rentals, they are a great sweet 16 party idea. Party djs offer music as well but be prepared to pay more. Disc jockeys also offer dancers, party music, karaoke, party games and fun giveaways to the kids. Dj's have party favors like funny hats, blow up guitars, giant glasses, and glow necklaces. Sometimes you can save money by providing your own party supplies. A disc jockey can also personalize your event with the music you want played. Djs work well with very large parties, some perform as live djs and are actually club djs. Some are not a mobile dj, and work the party night life. Working on location at a club, party
place
and catering halls. A interesting change is to hire female djs for party celebrations. When hiring a party dj you can find a wide range of prices as well as talent. Disc jockey services should have a wide variety of music to choose from. A party disc jockey can cost as high as $8500.00, but are much more reasonable than a wedding band. Famous djs also may get a premium rate for an event. The lower price range for a disk jockey is $400.00. Top wedding bands can cost up to $10,000.00 for New York City wedding receptions. Cost will be even more If you are working
with a event planner. Party bands are also fun, they play more at bars or clubs. Cover bands are great for picnics or outdoor events. When it comes to a party for kids you need to do some research. A party supply store has some interesting theme ideas for parties. You can also go online to web sites for ideas on a party theme for your party celebration. You can even create a theme for your party food. Spend time on the party decorations, It will make everyone feel in the party mood. The invitations party guests receive also set the party themes. Event planners can also add a large fees for birthday entertainers. Clowns for parties are very popular, but at a children's party, I find they scare some little kids. At a children's parties or birthday, clowns can keep kids busy. Some party activities a clown offers are magic, face painting, jugglers, tell jokes, stilt walkers and balloons. A bounce house is fun for a kids birthday party. Most inflatables can be rented out for the day. Hiring party characters such as Elmo are good ideas for little children. Make sure the party agency offers poloroids with the costumed character. Little girls enjoy princess parties and other themed parties. Most childrens entertainers such as clowns require a deposit to reserve a date. Party clowns for birthday parties do short parties as little as a half hour. If you would like the birthday clown to do all the activities they offer for a kid party, you'll need more time. At a kids party a clown is the best known party entertainment, but their are other good kids birthday party ideas. A party clown is a good value for most children's birthday parties and can range from $75.00 for the hour to $200.00 for the hour. Many party rental services also offer party tents as well as entertainers. Party magic is always fun. When you hire a party magician ask whether they specialize in children birthday party entertainment. Some magicians work more as corporate entertainers than at a children's birthday party. Magicians are a great idea for strolling as well, they can go table to table or do magic shows. Some party magicians are also a balloon artist. Some offer a comedy magician show. A birthday party magician specializes in younger kids, say ages 3 to 12. A magician at a birthday party will stay about half an hour to one hour. A magician for hire can run from $75.00 for the hour to $300.00 for the hour.If your party has hundreds of guests look to hire the birthday magician for the duration of the event or think about a magic show. A singing telegram is a great party idea for older children or adults. Casino parties work well for a corporate party, Christmas party and fund raisers. A stage hypnotist and a casino party can be expensive for most corporate events. Consider a tarot card reader, though it's a very slow process to read the cards. Another idea is a airbrush artist to do t-shirts, costs increase due to buying the shirts. Another children party idea is a caricature artist entertainer. A caricaturist sketches quick comical portraits and makes an excellent kid birthday party
entertainment
. Caricatures double as a party entertainer and party favor. If you are corporate event planning a caricature artist is great entertainment. A family entertainer like a caricaturist is also fun to watch. The caricature artists sketches live at childrens birthday parties. As a corporate entertainer the caricaturists specialize in trade shows. Caricature drawings also are one of the great Christmas party ideas. An interesting idea and wedding favor is a caricaturist. Wedding entertainers such as caricature artists are unique at wedding parties. A Halloween party is fun for a caricaturist to sketch your guests in their costumes. Older kids love caricatures at a graduation party. I've done many late night parties called "Project Graduation", at these events parents are the party organizer. Hire a party caricaturist from the low end of $75.00 per hour for an art student up to $200.00 per hour for a professional caricaturist. Hiring a party entertainer for a new year's eve party can cost almost double. Other holiday parties may result in higher premiums on certain dates. Entertainers also book early for Christmas parties, so consider reserving their service asap.

Drawing Celebrity Caricature Art by Caricaturist Steve Nyman
What you need first is good reference of the celebrity you choose to draw. You can find great reference at Google images. Pick a celebrity most people will know, Like Jack Nicholson or Will Smith. Drawing a female celebrity I find, is much more difficult for a beginer due to the fact that a great number of female celebrities change their hair styles so often. The current hair style of a female celebrity can be so different than past styles. Also look at other Caricature artists samples of the celebrity you are drawing. This way you can see how they approach drawing the actor you are also trying to sketch. You can also find these caricatures online by searching Google images, such as "Jack Nicholson Caricature". Notice the similarity of the different artist approaches. Another way is to go to YOUTUBE, see the actor live and notice their smile or expression. Also you can freeze frames on a DVD to pick up the expression you would like to capture in your caricature illustration.

Finding the right Caricaturist to entertain at your Party, Special Event, or Trade Show by Caricatures by Steve Nyman

Finding the right Caricaturist to entertain at your Party, Special Event, or Trade Show by Caricatures by Steve Nyman
Samples it's all about The Caricature Artist you will be hirings samples! Do not hire an artist without seeing their samples! Ask also to see Caricature samples of what they will be drawing at the party. Chances are the artists studio work will be hundreds of times better than what they do at a live event.
I always offer different options to my clients in the way of speed of drawings. How many caricatures per hour is necessary to service your party event or trade show. I would first establish the clients budget, the hours of the event, and the amount of guests at the event. Sometimes a event is very short, perhaps just even going for 1 hour. In this situation the client might be expecting 200 guests, they would need multiple artists drawing in order to service a event such as this. I've drawn at large events such as these in New York City, Tavern on the Green and providing the client with 4 artists. To cover a crowd of 200 people in one hour, the client really needed 20 ARTISTS, but the budget was not there for that event. Certainley the Cartoonists were overwhelmed being so popular and having such a short event to service time wise.
At a Trade Show the Caricaturist must draw as quick as possible without giving up on the quality of the likeness. Be assured that almost anyone will sit for the artist regardless of the quality of that artists work. But the drawing will probably either be thrown out or stuffed in a draw somewhere. What you need to represent your booth is an artist that has quality in their work, Excellent likeness' as well as great speed. That way the drawing that artist did ends up on the wall in their office or home. I had a client call me, she stated that they had connected with a new client at their Trade Show Booth in Las Vegas through the caricature I did. This client provided my client with thousands of dollars of new business, just on the enjoyment of the Caricature Portrait they had receieved that day. My client stated that I was worth everything they had spent costwise, by bringing in the new business to their company. She also told me that they had another artist the year before who was not as good and had no results. And she let me know that Caricature Artist had charged even more then I did. I told her that I greatly appreciated her business and enjoyed the compliment about my work.
Remember keep drawing and thanks for reading my Blog..

Different tools and mediums in caricature creation by Caricaturist Steve Nyman

Different tools and mediums in caricature creation by Caricaturist Steve Nyman

I'm always asked what mediums or tools I use to create my caricature drawings। Realistically you can use anything you are comfortable with. Most caricaturists use markers such as sharpies. For many years I used a 229 LF Design Marker, that became my crutch. It was an awful experience when they were discontinued. Many caricature artists bought up dozens of the markers from suppliers. Once in awhile I'll see an cartoon artist still using these today. You can experiment by trying different mediums such as pencil, artstix, markers, crayons, pastels. Currently I mostly use pencil, but I enjoy pen and ink in my studio. The old dip pens in india ink still create wonderful caricature art. Just make sure the areas you work are dry before you move your hand accross the art, What a MESS! I also enjoy coloring caricatures digitally in photoshop. There are some wonderful tutorials on Youtube that show you how to color in photoshop. It really takes time to learn the program, pick up a book on ebay or amazon about photoshop.
